One of the founding fathers of the modern dubstep movement, Plastician is pretty much revered nowadays as one of the finest producers around. Starting up at the turn of this century, he caught the attention of big names like DJ Hatcha for his skills, and his fusion of the fledgling dubstep sound with his trademark grimy style made waves all across the underground music scene of England. Now, of course, he's no longer underground - he's released for huge labels across the heaviness spectrum like Tempa and OWSLA, and recently he mixed Tempa compilation Dubstep Allstars Vol. 10, an incredible honor. Already known for launching the likes of Skream and Benga, Plastician's taste in bass music is widely varied, and often he uncovers some of the finest talent around for snapping up by big electronic labels. His own label, Terrorhythm Recordings, released one of the best songs of 2011 in this reviewer's opinion, "Don't Tell Mum About Ibiza" by Stinkahbell and Psy:am, and it continues to release great new music as of now. Overall, Plastician has been one of the finest producers in the game over his entire career, and without him dubstep and grime would be in much different places than they are now.
